Imagine being permanently banned on WhatsApp, with all your previous chats, groups and all the sweet conversations gone, and your phone number, the one known by your family, friends, school mates, bosses and sweethearts no longer accessible on WhatsApp. Imagine your project supervisor in a college just sent you a message, you are preparing to get some time, sit and relax an then open it and respond, yet as you take the phone number and opened the WhatsApp app, the message that welcomed you was "this number is banned from using Whatsapp"  Imagine having being in some online classes that takes place on WhatsApp, you have recently joined and have not even cared to save the phone number of the admin. Imagine being running a business group on WhatsApp with a lot of potential customers, some of whome me might not be on your contact list, yet you unfortunately wake up a day and found your number no longer be able to use WhatsApp. These are only a few of what the consequences of WHAT...

Meta (the owners of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram) continually update thier products, and this leads to the birth of new features in the apps as well as terms and conditions in using them, it is through this that the new term 'banning' in WhatsApp came to being. What does WhatsApp banning means? If you're are banned on WhatsApp,  it simply means you can longer use the same phone number to access WhatsApp again. However, depending on the circumstances, the banned can be temporary, in which you can be allowed to access WhatsApp at some later times again, and it can also be permanent, if it is permanent then you can longer use WhatsApp, atleast with the same phone number. But at first you won't know weather the ban is temporary or permanent, so, the best thing to do whenever you discover that your WhatsApp account is banned is to write to the customer service support of WhatsApp, try your best an explain to them why you should not be banned, you could be luc...

While coming back from the market day before yesterday in the evening, I saw a black smoke rising from somewhere not far from the road shoulder, with people, mostly young folks and women rushing towards the direction of the smoke. Obviously, some thing was wrong somewhere, and perhaps and accident, most likely, a fire outbreak, I expected. I was still inside Adaidaita Sahu then, and luckily, just few meters to where I'm supposed to drop, so I decided to allow a space for one of the bulky stranded passengers standing hopelessly by the road to kick in, and of course to go and confirm my expectation. As I approached the scene, my expectation is already confirmed. It was a fire outbreak! But this outbreak must have recently started, and thanks be to God that we have a local fire service station close to us, and it will take them less than ten or fifteen minutes to arrive, so this will be control in a matter of few minutes, yes it will be controlled! The terms "Technology" and "Engineering" is often found to be confusing and used interchangeably even among Engineers, scientists and other groups of learned people, perhaps because they are all basically ways of doing the same thing, but the reality is that there's a difference between them. Now let's the discuss the definitions of both, explain the things they share in common and come up with the differences in conclusion. According to Encyclopedia Britannica, Engineering is defined as the application of science to the optimum conversion of the resources of nature to the uses of humankind. Whereas technology is defined as the the sum of the ways in which social groups provide themselves with the material objects of their civilization. It's also defined as the systematic way of solving problems and creating things for the benefit of mankind. If we really want peace to reign in this country, we should get the courage to condemn violence without looking at the ethnicity or religion of the perpetrators or the victims. Our habit of selecting what crime to condemn and what neglect does nothing than promoting disunity and violence. The attack on some Christian communities  in Plateau is condemnable. There's no justification to crime whatsoever. But only Government has the power of preventing the happenings of violence of this nature, that is by making sure that the perpetrators have received the punishment they deserve. But so long as malefactors continue to enjoy impunity, violence will continue to happen in the name of reprisal attacks!
