If we really want peace to reign in this country, we should get the courage to condemn violence without looking at the ethnicity or religion of the perpetrators or the victims. Our habit of selecting what crime to condemn and what neglect does nothing than promoting disunity and violence. The attack on some Christian communities  in Plateau is condemnable. There's no justification to crime whatsoever. But only Government has the power of preventing the happenings of violence of this nature, that is by making sure that the perpetrators have received the punishment they deserve. But so long as malefactors continue to enjoy impunity, violence will continue to happen in the name of reprisal attacks!

About six months ago, I happened to be among a group of youths (students and coppers) selected for a special national assignment, electoral work for a rerun election in some constituencies where the earlier election was canceled. A day before the election, we were gathered at the INEC headquarters and taken on buses for conveyance to our respective designated places.
